1. The seller

2. The goods

Rugveda Home Goods Inc. sells handwoven, hand-tufted, and machine-made area rugs, runners, and floor coverings constructed from natural fibers such as wool, cotton, jute, and silk blends, as well as synthetic fibers including polypropylene and polyester, intended for residential and light commercial interior use. Product pages list what's included, the quantity and the form. Photos are illustrative; packaging can vary slightly.

3. Ordering and contract

An order goes through when checkout completes. We confirm by email; the contract forms when we dispatch the goods. We can decline an order if stock runs dry or details don't check out, and we refund any payment made.

4. Prices and payment

Prices show in CAD, VAT included where it applies. Delivery costs appear at checkout before payment. Accepted methods: Cash on delivery, Bank transfer. We may fix an obvious pricing error before dispatch and ask you to confirm or cancel.

5. Delivery

Delivery options, timing and costs sit on the Delivery & Payment page. Risk transfers to you once the goods change hands.

6. Product images and colours

Product photos show the actual rugs we ship. Screen colours shift with calibration, browser and room light; small shade differences aren't defects and don't qualify for a free return or compensation. Dimensions, materials and contents sit on each product page.

7. Transfer of risk

The rug stays our responsibility until the courier hands it to you or your named recipient at the given address. From that point, loss or damage risk shifts to you. Flag visible transport damage with the courier and report it to us within 48 hours.

8. Returns and warranty

Return the rug within 30 days of delivery, per the Returns page. All rugs sold by Rugveda Home Goods Inc. are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in weave, backing adhesion, and dye consistency for a period consistent with applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation from the date of delivery. This warranty covers structural flaws such as unraveling edges, backing separation, or uneven pile arising from manufacturing, but excludes wear from normal use, improper cleaning, sun fading, or damage from moisture exposure not disclosed as suitable by the product listing.

• Rugs custom-cut to specified dimensions or custom-dyed to a customer-selected color palette
• Clearance, remnant, or overstock rugs explicitly marked as sold in final, as-is condition at time of purchase
• Rugs with removed or damaged manufacturer identification tags, care labels, or fiber-content labels required for resale
• Rugs showing evidence of unrolling, foot traffic, pet exposure, staining, or odor absorption after delivery
• Rug pads, underlays, or protective liners once removed from original sealed packaging

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable Canadian law, the total liability of Rugveda Home Goods Inc. arising from any order shall not exceed the total purchase price paid for the specific rug giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100.00 CAD), whichever is greater. Nothing here limits liability that the law won't let us limit.

You need to be at least 18 to order. Use products as the label describes; they don't substitute for medical advice.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable Canadian province of the customer's residence and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Canada. If talking it through doesn't resolve a dispute, the matter goes to the court where the seller is registered, without affecting the consumer rights you hold in your home country.
